As expected, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria is buzzing and basking in the glory and wealth of hosting the APC Delegates for the Presidential Primary billed to hold tomorrow dated 6th to 8th June, 2022.

But with it has come the shrewd politics which will define the outcome of the primary election tomorrow. While Delegates are just coming in, the pursuit of their votes is taking a turn many had not envisaged.

Information reaching bopgists.blogspot.com is that the Presidency, in its bid to have its way at the Primary, so as to have either the Vice President; Yemi Osibanjo or the Senate President; Ahmed Lawan emerge the flagbearer, has chosen to favour the recently-ordained Delegates as against the old dogs, popularly called the Super Delegates to vote tomorrow.

We will recall that weeks ago, the APC leadership had increased the slots for Delegates. The Super Delegates from each State of the Federation had been asked to recruit more Delegates. Unbeknownst to these old dogs (Super Delegates), but obvious now, they had recruited their replacements themselves.

According to our Source, only the newly-recruited Delegates have been adjudged eligible to vote tomorrow. Obviously, the leadership of the APC and the Presidency, knowing that the Super Delegates will support and vote for Ahmed Bola Tinubu at the Primary, have changed the rules of the game by going against the whirlwind in discrediting the Super Delegates.

This stance by the Presidency has resulted to a very unhealthy atmosphere all around the locations where the Delegates are camped, so much so that an emergency meeting had had to be called. Presently, the meeting is on. From all indications, the delisted Indigenous Delegates would be fighting it out.

Just before the meeting was called, one of the Super Delegates spoke in anonymity, and conveyed to a Source of ours that the reason they want Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emerge is because he is the only one who has the structure, wealth and will to put up a good fight against Atiku Abubakar come the General Election.

Meanwhile, before the Palace Coup, some of the Delegates have been seen carrying bags, suspected to be filled with cash. Our Sources opined that all the Candidates, having their mini-campaign Offices at the Metropoly, were being visited by Delegates, who come asking for their 'Welcome Package'. This 'Welcome Package' is said to be different from the monies which will be expended on them to buy their votes much later.

While the outcome of the primary election is tomorrow away, and the coup plotters and coup wailers fight on, if their acts can be termed pointers, some of these Delegates had been making their stance known by lodging in hotels boldly displaying the names of their supposed Candidates at the entrance.
