A Nigerian man tells the U.S to stay away from the country

I call on all Nigerians, home and abroad, to raise their voices and say 'No' to the designation of Nigeria as a 'country of particular concern' by Donald Trump. This is not in anyway a support of the senseless killings in Nigeria.

We know what this is all about, and it is never about religion.

All the countries that the U.S has had to go save one group or the other, what came of them? Do we need to be reminded that they are currently shadows of themselves now?

Have we suddenly forgotten that the U.S Congress in 2024 openly revealed and admitted to funding Boko Haram in Nigeria, ISIS and other terrorist groups through the USAID? If there is anyone killing Christians and/or Muslims in Nigeria, we know who they are.

We also know that the U.S is feeling uneasy with Nigeria over China's rising interest in the country. One, coming to industrialize the nation, the other, trying to keep it an haven for the theft of natural minerals.

We are also not daft to know that the stance of Mali, Burkina Faso and others against France has sent a disturbing message to Europe and the Americas. While France is trying to  secure their interest in the sahel through Nigeria, America is warming up to solidify their hold.

There is no saint when it comes to international politicking, but some are more evil than others right now. Tomorrow, a different stance may be needed, and when that time comes, we will make it.

For today, say 'No' to Donald Trump, say 'No' to France, and say 'No' to a pillaged Nigeria.

As for the Nigerian Government, if this isn't a call to do what's right, then what is it? Protect your citizens, guarantee their safety, be responsible for once, and do the needful.
